I have been a professional photographer since the fall of 2016 and it has been quite the journey. I am an Asheville photographer now, but when I first started out, I actually left Asheville, NC for the winter to work as a ski photographer in Colorado. That was my entry into this world! I am grateful for that experience because it taught me so much. Try posing a family. Now try it when they are all wearing skiis and snowboards! I pretty much spent most of my time with that job, standing outside in the middle of winter in a bright green outfit (think Gumby) on snowy mountaintops with epic views. People would ski up to us and get their portraits taken. With my adventurous spirit, I don't think there could have been a better way for me to enter this profession. Did I mention I love mountains? I have come a long way since then with my photography career, and finally this is my first blog post! Haha!
