This was a really special get-together. This whole trip was to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of the creators of this family. They had no idea that there was a family photo session planned until a few hours before I arrived at their rental home. What a fun surprise! They just so happened to have packed the family color scheme in their suitcases too!

This was a really fun group! I think everyone was just excited to be together.

It had been a long time since this whole group had gotten together.

Since one of the sub-families lives overseas, it's not easy to all be in one place at the same time. When discussing how long it had been, it was revealed that some of the family hadn't even been born yet the last time they had a reunion. That means that they had never actually all been together before.

After that, Grandma shed a tear. Then someone else shed a tear. Then I shed a tear. I was just so happy for her that she got to finally be with her special people all in one place!
