Originally when Brad contacted me, we were talking about doing photos of the surprise proposal he was planning for his girlfriend.

After talking with him a little bit and finding out more about them, it sounded like maybe Liz wasn't really a big fan of surprises. I know from personal experience that big surprises are not for everyone. I had an experience once when someone threw me a surprise birthday party and it really was too much for me to handle.

I suggested that he consider proposing more privately and give her the gift of the engagement session after the fact.

That is the route he chose and everyone was so happy! We had our engagement session at The Biltmore Estate and everything worked out wonderfully.
