I love photographing elopements because it feels really special to be one of the few people there to witness such a special day.

The only people besides the wedding couple were me, the officiant, and the owners of the Lodge.

They had their ceremony on the deck with the wonderful mountain view as a backdrop.

Even though it was a small elopement, they didn't really miss out on any of the traditional wedding type activities. They danced. They enjoyed a champagne toast. They cut a small cake and fed it to each other. We had a portrait session in the beautiful gardens there. They went down the hill to pet the adorable Highland Cows. We did some fun photos with the motorcycle and I think they were planning a wedding day motorcycle ride for after my time was done there.
