This photoshoot started out as just a typical gorgeous mountain backdrop family photo session.

We met at an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway for our session. We did some group shots and various different breakdowns of groups of two and individual shots as well.

Then they mentioned that they had a puppy napping in the car. What?!? I urged them to include the pup in some of the photos.

They brought the puppy out and I couldn't contain myself. It was a seriously cute puppy. Once the puppy was there, everyone's demeanor changed. There is something really special about puppy love.
