This past fall, so many of my usual photo locations were damaged to the point of closure (many still are). I have been meaning to check out Grandfather Mountain and the Mile High Swinging Bridge for a long time but I never made it out there until this epic proposal.

Vishal had Vijeta's sister and a few friends come and decorate a little spot near the bridge with photos and flowers and candles.

Well once Vishal got the ok that everything was all set up, he took Vijeta for a walk. They walked right past the set up which couldn't be seen from that direction. They also walked right past me. They crossed the Mile High Swinging Bridge. It was windy and the mountains there felt really powerful.

They turned around and walked back across the bridge and directly to their decorated set up. As they were doing that, the friends and sister snuck behind them and ran across the bridge to hide. Vijeta was super shocked and really happy. Vishal proposed and she said YES!! There were some emotional moments between sisters and with everyone. I really had a fun time capturing this one.
