Vanderbilt Terrace at Omni Grove Park Inn

John and his girlfriend were visiting Asheville and were staying at the beautiful and historic Grove Park Inn.

He wanted to propsose while they were staying there. I knew that they require you to be a guest there in order to do any professional photography. The rules seem to change often, so I urged him to check to see what the current guidelines were and to have them approve this. They approved his for the Vanderbilt Terrace which I had never been to before although I had photographed at the Grove Park Inn many times. It was a really beautiful and private spot with a nice view of the mountains and of downtown Asheville.

Well I got there early and hid behind a column. I watched them arrive and walk up to the wall. John got down on his knee and proposed. Kelsey was really surprised and really really happy. She said YES! Yay!
