I love babies and also the people having babies! Maternity sessions can be so magical. They can also be a reflection of how you are feeling and being in this special time.
We can do a photoshoot with just you the mom to be, or we can include your spouse or older kids which can be pretty cute too.
The next step after your maternity session is the newborn photoshoot. I offer in home newborn sessions or I can come to the hospital and I have even had new parents want to meet in a park on a mild weather day for newborn photos. I can bring a few props to your home and also invite you to include sentimental items as well. I like to do a mix of some posed and some lifestyle newborn photos. The baby will lead the way and let us know what they are willing to tolerate. I used to work in the hospital doing newborn photography and am grateful for that experience because I was trained in safety there. I recommend if possible doing the newborn photos within the first two weeks because the babies are usually sleepier and easier to pose, but if you don't have it in you to do it that soon, we can do photos of your baby anytime. I do recommend scheduling right after feeding time so that your baby will hopefully feel more content and happy during the photoshoot.
