Family of Seven Photo Session at The Botanical Gardens of Asheville, NC Tricia reached out to me hoping to have a family photo session while they were in Western North Carolina. It turns out that they sold their home in Utah and all seven of them had been traveling the country in an RV for a year now!

Wow! I thought that was super cool when I heard that. I also prepared myself for a group of 5 little kids who may have some cabin fever. I admit I was prepared for the worst. I have a ton of experience working with kids, so I was ok with the worst case scenario. I remember as a kid that taking a family trip did not always bring out the best in us kids. My memories as a kid of even a relatively short trip from NJ to see my grandma and cousins in NY never ceased to include the following: someone crying, someone screaming, giggling, someone boldly claiming not to be poking or pinching someone, someone poking or pinching someone, my mom's bare hand reaching into the back seat to somehow catch some fresh hot vomit while driving, if the dog came along, he would also be vomiting, my baby brother unhooking his car seat straps and escaping into the abyss of the mini van and causing havoc, and more. Well working with this sweet family far exceeded my expectations.

They were polite and kind and even got along. They liked each other! After a year of traveling, I would call that a huge win. I loved working with this family.
