This surprise proposal stands out for me as something very unique compared to a lot of the other proposals I have been lucky enough to have been a part of. Without Kyra knowing the details, Brantley rented out the whole escape room. He had me invite a friend so that it would seem less weird than just the two of them and myself. So, all four of us were "assigned" to play this game together. My friend and I had never done an escape room before. Brantley and Kyra were really knowledgeable and had done many. That was a good thing! We did figure out a few of the clues though. It was really cool there actually. I would totally go back when not on an assignment too.

It was cool to play along the whole time. I had gotten there ahead of time and without ruining the game for me, our lovely game host showed me what the last two locks looked like, so I would be ready with my camera (hiding in my purse) for when we got to the end. When you are playing, you are rushing to figure everything out in time. When Kyra opened that last safe, she found the ring. She almost handed it to Brantley to rush and figure out the next thing. That's when he got down on one knee and proposed! Shocked, she said yes! This was a first for me to photograph a proposal in a tiny dark room with a red light and bones hanging from the ceiling! It was perfect!
