Kurt reached out to me because he wanted to surprise his girlfriend with a marriage proposal while they were on a trip to Asheville.

We had made a plan. A few days before proposal day, the weather forecast started looking really bleak for that day. We decided on a Plan B location where we could pop back indoors in case the storm got really wild.

I decided to take along my lucky umbrella. Of course the weather held out for them!! It didn't rain at all during the surprise proposal or the engagement session afterward!

They were both so excited. It was really sweet.

Can I just say that these two brought the fun for their engagement session! I had not laughed that much in a really long time. I think I had to wipe off laughing tears at multiple moments.

When Kurt and Heather decided to exchange piggy back rides, Kurt said he hoped that those photos would make it into my portfolio. Well, Kurt, your wish has been granted! Haha! Oh wow, we had so much fun!!
