Stefano contacted me because he wanted to create a really special moment for his surprise proposal to his girlfriend. He really wanted some great photos to document this life changing event. They were on an Asheville vacation and had a tour planned at the Biltmore Estate. He knew he wanted to surprise her somewhere on the grounds of the estate.

Since he had never been there before, he was not quite sure where on the grounds he wanted to do this. I made some suggestions and sent photos of different areas where other couples had done engagement sessions on the Biltmore property.

He really liked the rose garden idea. I had just been there a few days prior and saw how lovely the roses were blooming and shared that. The only thing was that there was actually rain in the forecast for that day.

We came up with a Plan A of a location if it didn't rain, a Plan B if it was drizzling or lightly raining, and a Plan C if it was raining so hard that it would be weird to go for a walk in the gardens. I came equipped with my lucky umbrella. It totally worked and it ended up not raining! Yes!!

I found them in the gardens and trailed slowly behind them until they reached the rose garden. Stefano chose a lovely arbor covered in rose blooms and he stopped Nicole to propose. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him in this gorgeous floral backdrop.She was so cute when she realized what was happening here. She said yes!!

After soaking in the roses, we explored the beautiful grounds of the Biltmore together. When I asked if they were ready to do some frolicking, I got a big yes from Stefano! He was ready to frolic for sure. We had a lot of fun. Best wishes to Stefano and Nicole!!!
