Being shocked and surprised really doesn't work for everyone. I remember a time where someone threw me a surprise birthday party and I was completely shocked. I think my face was purple for the entire rest of the evening and my heartbeat didn't really get back to normal until the next day. I couldn't really enjoy that party because I was so freaked out by the surprise. Surprises are not for everyone. I totally get it. For real!
