I really enjoy those suspenseful moments right before a surprise proposal. It's right before the whole plan just all comes together. A lot of the time, I mindfully observe the entire environment. There is the setting of the place, the people around, the feeling in the air, the vibe of the person proposing. I love to have a quiet moment for this right before the emotions get released. 

This was a really fun one. Not only was the proposal a surprise, but having the parents present for this proposal was also a surprise.

Emily thought she and Mitchell were just going out for a drink at The Grove Park Inn while visiting Mitchell's hometown, Asheville.  Surprise!!! It was a lot more than that!

Mitchell called Emily to come meet him at the bottom of the staircase. That's when he got down on one knee and proposed! Yes! She said yes!!  Before the excitement calmed down, Emily turned around and was double shocked to see family looking on and witnessing the surprise.
