Courtney wanted to surprise Kimmy with a marriage proposal while they were on a rustic vacation in the Linville Gorge area.

He had a waterfall hike planned out that neither of us had ever gone to before.

I watched them arrive at the trailhead and I quietly got out of my car and followed behind them on the trail.

I took some nature photos and stayed far enough behind that it wouldn't seem suspicious.

The river meandered around and there were many places to stop and look at the beautiful waterfall.

They stopped to view the gorgeous waterfall and take in the moment. Then, he got down on his knee and asked Kimmy to marry him!

She said YES! ...and their adorable baby pretty much slept through the whole thing.   :)
